Chiba Port Park (Chiba City)
Chiba's gateway to the sea, Chiba Port, is well established in international trade, and has a beautiful seaside park. Chiba Port Tower, which is made of glass, is the symbol of Chiba City. There are also tennis courts, and a square where you can enjoy the seaport among greenery and sea breeze.
Himeharu no Sato Park (Mobara City)
Himeharu no Sato extends over a vast area and is known for its natural geography. It is a paradise of flowers, plants and birds; where you can enjoy beautiful flowers such as cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, Japanese bush clovers and sasanqua all year-round. Tropical flowers bloom throughout the greenhouse, while flamingos and crowned cranes play with birds of paradise, creating a tropical atmosphere.
Chiba Castle (Chiba City)
The castle of a Chiba lord who once governed this area has been restored in a corner of Inohana Park, a popular place in the spring during the cherry blossom season. The donjon houses the Chiba Museum of Local History. Pottery associated with Chiba city, helmets and armor, and daily tools from ancient to modern times are displayed. The 4th floor is a planetarium and the 5th floor is an observatory.
Shimizu Park (Noda City)
Visitors can enjoy viewing typical Japanese plants such as cherry trees, Japanese apricot trees, Japanese wisteria, and azaleas at this large park. The cherry blossoms here are especially nice. This site was selected as one of the "100 best Japanese Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots".
Akebono Mountain Agricultural Park (Kashiwa City)
Windmills stand in a beautiful tulip field here, giving the park a Dutch countryside atmosphere. In addition, there is an aquatic botanical garden where irises are planted and a Japanese garden where you can relax with nature's greenery and the many flowers.
Sawara Municipal Aquatic Botanical Gardens (Sawara City)
By making the most of the natural water and greenery, this botanical garden is known for its Indian lotus and irises. June is the best season for irises. 1,500,000 irises of 350 species are in bloom throughout the gardens, home of the iris festival. More than 200 species of Indian lotus are spectacular in July and August, where their beautiful appearance helps you forget the hot weather, at least for a moment.
Hasunuma Marine Park (Hasunuma Town)
This is a huge prefectural urban park located along kujukuri-hama. Sports facilities such as athletic gardens and tennis courts, and other attractions such as go-carts and bumper cars can also be found here. In addition, there are thirteen swimming pools with themes such as swamps, swift currents and shallows. In the park, cycling routes have been improved so that visitors can travel using rental bicycles.
