• National Museum of Japanese History
The National Museum of Japanese History is located in Sakura, next to Narita City. Located at the old Sakura Castle site, this is the largest history museum in East Asia. The history and culture of Japan from the Paleolithic Period to the Meiji Period is presented using easy to understand models and restorations.

• Sakura Former Samurai Residence
This former samurai residence is located near the National Museum of Japanese History. Constructed at the end of the Edo Period, the three-story house belonged to a middle class samurai.

• Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art
A large collection of paintings by famous western artists such as Rembrandt and Renoir are displayed at this museum. The building that houses the museum is modeled after western castles, and is surrounded by a large western-style garden.

• Boso-no-mura Museum
A unique outdoor museum featuring a replica village from the Edo Period where visitors can experience the traditional lifestyle of Japan. Traditional retail stores, farmhouses, and a samurai's residence have been reconstructed. Visitors can experience making traditional handicrafts and try on a samurai armor at the samurai's residence.

• Naritasan Omotesando (entrance street leading to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple)
Traditional souvenir shops and eating establishments line the 1-kilometer shopping street leading to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple from JR Narita Station. The area is perfect for strolls, where visitors can enjoy the historic temple town atmosphere.

• Naritasan Shinshoji Temple
Naritasan Shinshoji Temple is the headquarters of the Shingon sect of esoteric Buddhism and receives over 12 million visitors annually. Several buildings designated as important cultural assets by the national government are located at the temple grounds. A large Japanese garden is located adjacent to the temple.

• Katori Jingu Shrine
The history of Katori Jingu Shrine goes back all the way to Japan's mythological times, making it one of the most famous shrines in eastern Japan. Many important cultural properties are kept here, including the main hall, which was built in the Edo Period.

• Suigo Sawara Festival Float Museum
Sawara prospered in the Edo Period as a regional river transportation center. The townspeople constructed many splendid festival floats for use at eastern Japan's famous Gion Festival. Visitors can experience the festive atmosphere from the museum's exhibits and videos.

• Ino Tadataka Memorial Museum
This museum exhibits the accomplishments of Ino Tadataka, who surveyed and created the first map of Japan in the late Edo Period. Visitors can also observe houses built in the Edo Period.

• Traditional citystreet along Onogawa River
Traditional houses line the street along Onogawa River. The old town atmosphere from the Edo Period remains untouched, making the area perfect for an afternoon stroll.

3. Tokyo DisneySea Course (one-day course)

Tokyo DisneySea can be reached by car via expressway in 20 minutes from hotels at Makuhari. Visitors from children to adults can enjoy spending a fun-filled day at the popular theme park. Opened in September 2001, Tokyo DisneySea is an innovative sea-themed amusement park. Visitors can enjoy alcoholic beverages at the park while strolling through the world's famous sea-side cities. Theme parties for international conference participants can be arranged at Tokyo Disneyland.

Enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo Bay at this parking area located at the center of the Tokyo Wan Aqualine - a part bridge, part tunnel expressway that links Kisarazu with Kawasaki.

Visitors can enjoy riding the ferris wheel, merry-go-around, as well as other entertainment facilities at the farm. They can also get in touch with nature by interacting with different animals and observing the beautiful seasonal flowers.

• Yoshisaki Sake Brewery
Established in 1627, this brewery produces many brands of well-known sake, including "Kichiju" and "Gekka". The sake here is brewed using select rice and special "Kururi water", known in the northern Chiba area for its outstanding quality.

• Yoro-keikoku Valley
The Yoro-keikoku Valley is known for its tender spring greenery in the summer and beautifully tinted leaves in the fall. Visitors can have fun with fishing, hiking, river-side activities, and camping in the area.

2. Nokogiri-yama Mountain course

• Miya Shoyu (soy sauce brewery)
Established in 1834, this 110-year-old soy sauce brewery is known for making all natural soy sauce with no preservatives using water abundant in minerals while taking advantage of the Boso Peninsula's warm climate due to its favorable location.

• Nokogiri-yama Mountain
329 meters in height, this mountain is known for the production of "Boshu stone" from the Muromachi to Edo Periods. The Nihon-ji temple is located at the mountain and many Buddhist statues can be seen. An impressive, panoramic view of the area can be seen from the observatory on top of the mountain.

• Koizumi Sake Brewery
Established in 1793, this brewery is famous for its Tokaizakari brand and its variety of other sake.

• Kururi Castle ruins
The castle is said to have been constructed in the late Heian Period (794 - 1192). It was the residence of Lord Awa Satomi in the Warring States Period. The castle tower was restored in 1979. Samurai armors from the Edo Period and other artifacts can be seen at the exhibition and reference center.

• Fujihira Sake Brewery
Established in 1716, this brewery uses rice from Hyogo Prefecture and special "Kururi" water in making its unique sake. Its Fukuiwai brand along with various other sake are well-known.

• Kameyama Onsen hot spring
Kameyama Onsen is located next to Kameyama-ko, Chiba Prefecture's largest lake and the source of the hot spring. About 600 liters of chocolate colored water springs from the source. This slightly alkaline spring water is said to be good for the skin and conditions such as rheumatism and nervous disorders. The Kameyama area is also known for its beautiful autumn foliage, local cuisine, and other attractions. Many golf courses are located near the area, and access to major cities such as Kamogawa and Kisarazu is very convenient.

• Mitsu-ishi-yama Kannon (goddess of mercy)
This Shingon Buddhist temple was constructed by Saint Kakue in 1409. The Kannon hall is located beneath three large rocks on top of the 282 meter summit. The Kannon at this temple is said to grant worshippers one wish, giving her the name "one word Kannon".

4. Kamogawa Course

• Minnami-no-sato
An experience-based facility where visitors can try out a variety of activities, such as strawberry and flower picking, rice planting and harvesting, straw work, and plant dyeing. Fee required for experience courses.

• Oyama-senmaida
This terraced rice paddy promotes traditional rice cultivation methods and is a well-known sightseeing spot because of its beautiful atmosphere.

• Chiba Prefecture Rakuno-no-sato
Dairy farms in Japan originated in this area. The history of dairy farms and milking methods are introduced at the resource center.

5. Amatsu-kominato, Kamogawa Course

• Tanjo-ji Temple
Built in 1276, the town where this temple is located is known as the birthplace of Saint Nichiren-shonin, the founder of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism. Nichiren's own handwriting and many valuable cultural properties are kept at the temple.

• Niemon-jima Island
This small island with a perimeter of 4km is across the strait from Kamogawa. It has a history of more than 800 years old and is a famous sightseeing spot in Chiba. The island is known for being Nichiren's place of worship, and for being Shogun Minamoto Yoritomo's place of hiding.

• Futomi Flower and Seashore Fishing Center
Enjoy the attractions of southern Chiba at this facility. Visitors can see all kinds of tropical plants and flowers at the botanical garden, and enjoy seashore fishing at the center.

• Kamogawa Sea World
Enjoy the company of killer whales, dolphins, seals, and 800 other kinds of marine animals at this theme park.

6. Narita Course

• Boso-no-mura Museum
Take a step back in time as you stroll through this replica village of the Edo Period of Japan (1700's ). In this vast site you can visit preserved samurai, merchant and farm houses from the era. All offer a number of hands-on exhibits and demonstrations. Visitors can even try on a samurai armor at the samurai's residence.

• Naritasan Shinshoji Temple
The headquarters of the Chizan school, Shingon sect of Buddhism, about 12 million visitors worship at this temple annually. Many structures at the temple have been designated as important cultural assets by the national government. There is also a Japanese garden next to the temple.
