First-Ever INS Joint Conference in Japan
Global Neuropsychology Experts to Gather in Makuhari, Chiba
The Chiba Convention Bureau and International Center (CCB-IC) is pleased to announce that Chiba has been officially selected to host the Joint Conference of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) and the Japan Society for Higher Brain Function (JSHBF). This marks the first time that the International Neuropsychological Society will hold its conference in Japan.
In preparation for this successful bid, the CCB-IC worked in close collaboration with the Japan Society for Higher Brain Function, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Chiba Prefecture, Chiba City, Makuhari Messe, and other related partners. Through this strong public-private partnership working together as a team, Chiba has been selected as the host destination for this prestigious international academic meeting.
■ About the Conference
The International Neuropsychological Society (INS) is a leading global academic organization dedicated to advancing research and clinical practice in neuropsychology. In Japan, neuropsychological research has been actively promoted by two major academic societies: the Japan Society for Higher Brain Function and the Japanese Society of Neuropsychology.
While Japan has a strong foundation in neuropsychological research, opportunities for large-scale international academic exchange have been limited. This joint conference aims to strengthen global collaboration, provide emerging researchers with access to an international platform, and further enhance academic exchange between Japan, East Asia, and the wider international community. The conference is expected to serve as a future-oriented gateway connecting Japanese and Asian neuropsychological research with the global scientific community.
■ Collaboration and Support
As part of its ongoing mission to attract and support international conferences and other corporate events, Chiba Convention Bureau provides comprehensive assistance before and during the congress, including but no limited to the following:
- Support for bid documentation and proposal materials
- Financial assistance through international conference subsidies
- Provision of promotional materials such as the “Chiba MICE PR Video”
- Coordination of convention volunteers and local sightseeing programs (planned)
- Public relations and media support (planned)
- Assistance with cultural performances and Japanese cultural experiences during the reception (planned)
