JPPS2025 Public lecture at AEON MALL Makuhari New City
A public lecture was held on June 22, 2025 at AEON MALL Makuhari New City, in Chiba, as part of the 18th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society for Pharmaceutical Palliative Care and Sciences (JPPS2025). The event was co-hosted by the Chiba Prefecture Hospital Pharmacists Association and supported by AEON Retail Co., Ltd. and Nagaileben Co., Ltd., The program included a lecture conducted by a certified drug education pharmacist, medication consultation booth run by pharmacists from AEON Pharmacy, and a commemorative photo session where lab coats as costume were provided to add excitement to the elementary school students.
By holding the conference in a place where many people gather like this one, the organizers can easily introduce the latest research results and provide knowledge that will be useful in people's lives and interests. We also believe that local residents will find the conference more approachable, as they will be aware that the conference is for experts.
The said public lecture is not the only example we are seeing, but an increasing number of initiatives that go beyond the conference venue and promote the appeal of conferences made available to the general public. We hope to see more examples of communities coming together to promote events like this one. The Chiba Convention Bureau will continue to support this kind of activities onwards.
